Kenneth Snelson

Kenneth Snelson was a sculptor who pioneered tensegrity structures, elegant constructions of metal tubes held in tension by cables that appear to float. His minimalist engineering approach influenced architecture and sculpture. His public works are installed internationally and his pieces are held by MoMA and the Hirshhorn Museum.
