Henri Glicenstein

Henri Glicenstein (1870, 1942) was a Polish-born sculptor and painter who gained international recognition for his expressive figurative works blending Jewish cultural themes with modernist sensibilities. He studied at the Warsaw School of Fine Arts and later in Munich and Rome, eventually settling in the United States after fleeing Europe during World War II. His bronze sculptures and paintings often depicted biblical figures, Jewish life, and portraiture with emotional depth and technical mastery.
