Giulio Rosati

Giulio Rosati (1858, 1917) was an Italian Orientalist painter celebrated for his vivid depictions of Middle Eastern and North African life, including harem scenes, slave markets, and desert landscapes. Trained at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Rome, he became one of the most sought-after Orientalist painters of his era, producing highly detailed and richly colored genre scenes that captivated European collectors. His works regularly appear at major auction houses including Christie's, Sotheby's, and Bonhams, often achieving significant prices.
