Georges Valmier

Georges Valmier (1885, 1937) was a French painter associated with Cubism and Purism, known for his vibrant, rhythmic compositions that synthesized geometric abstraction with musical influences. He developed a highly personal style blending Cubist fragmentation with lyrical color harmonies, and was also a significant designer for theatrical sets and costumes. Valmier exhibited with prominent avant-garde groups and contributed to the decorative arts movement in interwar France.
