Franz Christoph Janneck (1703, 1761) was an Austrian Baroque painter born in Graz, known for his small-scale cabinet paintings depicting elegant courtly scenes, genre subjects, and festive gatherings in the tradition of the Dutch and Flemish masters. He spent much of his career in Vienna, where he gained recognition at the imperial court and became a member of the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts. His refined, jewel-like works are characterized by delicate brushwork, luminous color, and lively figural compositions reminiscent of Watteau and Teniers.
