Elger Esser

Elger Esser is a German fine art photographer known for his large-scale, luminous landscape photographs that evoke a sense of timelessness and painterly stillness. A student of Bernd and Hilla Becher at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf, Esser belongs to the celebrated Düsseldorf School of Photography and creates images of rivers, coastlines, and ancient towns that blur the boundary between photography and painting.
