Simon Renard de Saint-André was a French Baroque painter active in the seventeenth century, known primarily for his refined still life compositions featuring flowers, fruit, and vanitas symbolism. A student of Jacques Blanchard, he worked in Paris and gained recognition at the French Royal Academy of Painting and Sculpture, where he was received as a member in 1651. Works attributed to him reflect the influence of Flemish still life traditions combined with French elegance and decorative sensibility.
