Anne Redpath (1895, 1965) was a Scottish colourist painter celebrated for her richly textured still lifes, interiors, and landscapes painted in vivid, expressive colour. Influenced by the French Post-Impressionists and the Scottish Colourists, she developed a distinctive style characterised by bold impasto and jewel-like hues. She was elected to the Royal Scottish Academy in 1952 and appointed OBE in 1955, becoming one of Scotland's most acclaimed modern painters.
