Rina Banerjee creates fantastical sculptures and installations from globally sourced materials including feathers, shells, textiles, and found objects, exploring colonialism, migration, and cultural hybridity. Her works feature elaborate titles that function as prose poems, such as her installation for the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts rotunda. She has exhibited at the San Jose Museum of Art, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and the Venice Biennale.
