Qing Dynasty, Kangi Period
This exquisite Kangxi period porcelain bowl exemplifies the refined decorative artistry of the Qing Dynasty, featuring a richly detailed interior with a central medallion depicting two birds resting upon a blossoming prunus tree rising from ornamental rockwork. The composition is further enhanced by elaborate lotus lappet panels rendered against a vibrant foliate scroll green ground, each enclosing delicate motifs of antiques, birds, insects, and landscapes. The rim is adorned with quatrefoil panels containing mythical beasts and fish set against an iron-red foliate band, while the exterior presents an elegant and restrained band of lotus strapwork.
