Ming Dynasty, Wanli Period [two Items]
Two deep U-shaped vessels from the Wanli period of China's Ming Dynasty feature richly painted cobalt-blue decoration that exemplifies the refined porcelain craftsmanship of the era. Each piece rises from a short tapering foot to an everted rim, with the exterior adorned by a pair of chilong — mythical hornless dragons — elegantly divided by a delicate flower spray. The interior continues the dynamic motif with a central chilong medallion, showcasing the bold yet precise brushwork characteristic of late Ming blue-and-white porcelain.
