Saint James Park au crépuscule (Saint James Park at Dusk): two impressions
Created in 1958, this rare pair of lithographic impressions by Joan Miró captures the ethereal atmosphere of London's Saint James Park at dusk, rendered in the artist's signature dreamlike visual language. One impression serves as the "bon à tirer" proof, bearing Miró's own extensive handwritten printing annotations and dated 29 April 1958, offering an intimate glimpse into the artist's meticulous printmaking process. Printed by the prestigious Crommelynck et Dutrou workshop and published by Maeght in Paris, these impressions — one a working proof and the other an hors commerce example from beyond the standard edition of 75 — represent an exceptionally rare opportunity to acquire works with direct documentary connection to Miró's creative hand.
