
Moonshine (Cristea 62)
"Moonshine" is a cancelled proof etching by Ben Nicholson from 1966, marked with blue crayon and pencil to indicate it was withdrawn from the edition of 50 prints. Printed by François Lafranca in Locarno and published by Galerie Beyeler in Basel, the work exemplifies Nicholson's geometric abstraction through the medium of intaglio printmaking. The etching is presented on wove paper with full margins and measures 319 by 379 millimeters.
