Edo period, 18th century
A black lacquer iron bowl helmet with raised ridges and copper-gilt ornamental fittings from the Edo period, 18th century. The piece features stenciled Dutch leather decoration, aoi mon crests, and a three-tiered neck guard with blue and pale blue lacing, complemented by lacquered wood maedate of a silver fox.
