A series of five works by Petr Sklyar that draws upon familiar proverbs and idioms as conceptual frameworks, transforming everyday wisdom into visual meditations on human experience. Each piece engages with its titular phrase as both subject and lens, exploring themes of perseverance, belonging, impermanence, hardship, and the unknowable depths of the inner self. Together the works form a cohesive reflection on the contradictions and consolations embedded in the language we inherit to make sense of our lives.
