Vladimir Nikolaevich Nemukhin was a Russian nonconformist artist best known for his distinctive card-themed compositions blending abstraction with symbolic imagery. He was a prominent member of the Lianozovo Group, an underground circle of Soviet avant-garde artists who gathered in the late 1950s and 1960s in defiance of socialist realism. Nemukhin's work gained international recognition after the famous Bulldozer Exhibition of 1974, and his paintings are held in major collections worldwide.
