Sir Eduardo Paolozzi (1924, 2005) was a Scottish sculptor and artist widely regarded as a pioneer of Pop Art, known for his bold assemblages of found imagery, machine forms, and cultural detritus. His work spanned sculpture, printmaking, collage, and tapestry, drawing on Surrealism, Dada, and popular culture to create dense, layered compositions that interrogated the relationship between technology, consumerism, and the human condition. Among his most celebrated works are the monumental bronze sculptures at Tottenham Court Road Underground station and his vast mosaics, cementing his legacy as one of the most significant British artists of the 20th century.
