Sara Cwynar

Sara Cwynar is a Canadian artist and photographer working across photography, video, and installation, whose practice critically examines consumer culture, image saturation, and the politics of representation in the digital age. Drawing on the visual language of advertising, graphic design, and archival imagery, her densely layered compositions interrogate how images construct desire, identity, and historical memory, with key works including her acclaimed video pieces 'Flat Death' (2016) and 'Rose Gold' (2017). Cwynar has exhibited widely at major international venues including the Whitney Biennial, the Museum of Modern Art, and Kunsthalle Basel, and is represented by Foxy Production in New York and Tramps in London.
