Rudolf Ernst

Rudolf Ernst was an Austro-French painter, printmaker, and ceramics painter born in Vienna in 1854. He is best known for his richly detailed Orientalist works depicting Middle Eastern and North African scenes, figures, and interiors. He exhibited extensively in Paris under the name Rodolphe Ernst, becoming one of the prominent Orientalist artists of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
