Risaku Suzuki

Risaku Suzuki is a Japanese photographer born in 1963 in Wakayama Prefecture, known for his meditative large-format photographs that explore the natural world, particularly focusing on cherry blossoms, snow, and the ocean. His work is characterized by a profound attention to light, season, and the passage of time, drawing on traditions of Japanese aesthetics such as mono no aware. Suzuki has exhibited internationally and is regarded as one of Japan's most significant contemporary photographers.
