Ralston Crawford

Ralston Crawford (1906–1978) was a Canadian-born American painter and photographer known for his precise, geometric renderings of industrial landscapes and urban environments. His work bridges American Precisionism and abstraction, capturing the stark beauty of bridges, factories, and grain elevators with bold simplified forms and flat planes of color. Crawford also had a deep passion for jazz, which influenced his later abstract compositions and photography.
