Qiu Xiaofei
Chinese(1977)
Qiu Xiaofei (b. 1977, Harbin, China) is a Beijing-based painter known for his deeply introspective and psychologically layered canvases that blend personal memory, art historical references, and surrealist imagery. His work often draws on childhood recollections and the cultural atmosphere of 1980s China, weaving together dreamlike narratives with a distinctive painterly language that references both Western modernism and Chinese experience. Considered one of the most significant painters of his generation in China, Qiu has exhibited internationally and is represented in major museum and private collections.
