Olga de Amaral

Olga de Amaral is a pioneering Colombian fiber artist born in 1932 in Bogotá, whose monumental textile works blend pre-Columbian traditions with modernist abstraction. She is renowned for her large-scale woven pieces incorporating gold and silver leaf, gesso, and luminous pigments that transform fiber into shimmering, almost spiritual objects.
