Moses van Uyttenbroeck (also known as Moyses van Uyttenbroeck or Matz Uyttenbroeck) was a Dutch Golden Age painter born around 1590 in The Hague, who specialized in pastoral and mythological landscapes populated with figures from classical antiquity. He was a court painter to the House of Orange and worked closely within the circle of Prince Frederick Henry, producing idyllic Arcadian scenes that blended Italian influence with Northern sensibility. His works frequently appeared in notable Dutch collections and continue to surface at major international auction houses including Christie's and Sotheby's.
