Mernet Larsen

Mernet Larsen is an American painter known for her distinctive geometric, perspectival compositions that blend Eastern and Western spatial conventions, often depicting everyday domestic and public scenes with a flattened, almost diagrammatic quality. Born in 1940, she studied at the University of South Florida and has spent much of her career teaching and working in Tampa, Florida. Her work gained significant international recognition later in her career, with major institutional shows and strong auction results emerging in the 2010s and beyond.
