Ludwig Ferdinand Schnorr von Carolsfeld

Ludwig Ferdinand Schnorr von Carolsfeld (1788, 1853) was an Austrian painter known for his intimate portraits and genre scenes infused with the spirit of German Romanticism. He was the son of the painter Hans Veit Schnorr von Carolsfeld and brother of Julius Schnorr von Carolsfeld, working within a distinguished artistic family that shaped early 19th-century Central European art. His works frequently appeared in Vienna's cultural circles and are represented in major German and Austrian museum collections.
