John Edward Saché

John Edward Saché (1824, 1882) was a pioneering British-born photographer who worked extensively in India during the mid-to-late 19th century. He is best known for his large-format albumen prints documenting Indian architecture, landscapes, and people, particularly in Bengal and the surrounding regions. His commercial studio work and topographical photography provide an invaluable visual record of colonial-era India.
