Jacopo Amigoni was an Italian Rococo painter born in Naples around 1682, celebrated for his elegant mythological scenes, portraits, and decorative works that earned him international acclaim across Europe. He worked extensively at European courts, including those of Bavaria, England, and Spain, where he served as court painter to King Ferdinand VI in Madrid. His refined style, characterized by soft pastel tones, graceful figures, and luminous surfaces, made him one of the most sought-after painters of the early eighteenth century.
