Hunter Reynolds is a New York-based American artist known for his deeply personal and politically charged work addressing the AIDS crisis, queer identity, and mortality. He is perhaps best known for his 'Patina du Prey' alter ego performances, in which he wore a dress printed with the names of those who died from AIDS, as well as his large-scale photographic and installation works. His practice spans performance, photography, and conceptual art, and has been central to AIDS activism and LGBTQ+ artistic discourse since the 1980s and 1990s.
