Giovanni Battista Naldini (1535, 1591) was a Florentine Mannerist painter and draughtsman who trained under Jacopo Pontormo and later worked in the studio of Giorgio Vasari. He contributed to major decorative projects in Florence, including frescoes in the Basilica di Santa Croce and panels for the Studiolo of Francesco I de' Medici in the Palazzo Vecchio. His works are characterized by elongated figures, rich coloring, and the expressive elegance typical of late Florentine Mannerism.
