Filippino Lippi (c. 1457, 1504) was an Italian Renaissance painter born in Prato, the illegitimate son of the celebrated artist Fra Filippo Lippi. He trained under Sandro Botticelli in Florence and developed a distinctive style blending his master's elegance with expressive, sometimes fantastical elements. His major works include frescoes in the Brancacci Chapel in Florence and the Carafa Chapel in Rome.
