Edward Percy Moran (1862, 1935) was an American painter and illustrator known for his patriotic and historical scenes, particularly those depicting figures from early American history such as George Washington and Betsy Ross. He was born into a prominent artistic family, son of Thomas Moran and nephew of Peter Moran, and studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and in Europe. His work appeared widely in popular magazines and was celebrated for its narrative charm and technical refinement.
