Lê creates photo-weavings combining images from American and Vietnamese sources, addressing memory, war, and cultural displacement through traditional Vietnamese weaving techniques. His installations also include video and sculptural works exploring Cambodia's Khmer Rouge history. He is represented in MoMA, Guggenheim, and San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
