'Circle of David de Coninck' refers to works attributed to artists closely associated with or influenced by the Flemish painter David de Coninck (c. 1636, c. 1699), known for his elaborate depictions of animals, hunting trophies, and still lifes with birds and game. These works share stylistic and compositional similarities with de Coninck's output but cannot be firmly attributed to his hand alone. Such attributions are commonly used by auction houses to indicate paintings produced within his workshop, by his pupils, or by contemporaries working in his manner during the late 17th and early 18th centuries.
