Charles Angrand (1854, 1926) was a French Neo-Impressionist painter closely associated with Georges Seurat and the Pointillist movement. He is best known for his rural landscapes, intimate domestic scenes, and drawings executed in soft conte crayon, capturing everyday life with quiet sensitivity. After moving from Normandy to Paris, he became a central figure in the avant-garde circle before largely retreating to a more private artistic practice in his later years.
