Celso Lagar

Celso Lagar (1891, 1966) was a Spanish painter associated with the École de Paris, known for his vibrant circus scenes, landscapes, and figurative compositions executed in an expressive, post-impressionist style. He spent much of his career in Paris and later in Seville, gaining recognition among French and Spanish collectors for his bold use of color and dynamic brushwork. His works have appeared regularly at auction houses including Sotheby's, Christie's, and Artcurial, reflecting sustained collector interest in his output.
