Carolyn Drake

Carolyn Drake is an American documentary photographer known for her long-term immersive projects exploring marginalized communities, identity, and geopolitical borders. Her work has taken her across Central Asia, China, and beyond, often spending years embedded within the communities she photographs. Drake is a Magnum Photos member and her work has been exhibited internationally and published in major publications including The New Yorker and National Geographic.
