Carlo Sellitto was an Italian Baroque painter active in the early 17th century, considered one of the earliest followers of Caravaggio in Naples. He played a significant role in introducing Caravaggesque naturalism and dramatic use of light and shadow to Neapolitan painting. His promising career was cut short by his early death, leaving a relatively small but influential body of work.
