Jack Tworkov

Tworkov developed gestural abstractions with diagonal brushstrokes and lattice structures that evolved from spontaneous action painting to more controlled compositions. His work bridged Abstract Expressionism and systematic abstraction. He is collected by the Whitney, the Guggenheim, and the Smithsonian.
