Albrecht Adam

Albrecht Adam (1786, 1862) was a German Romantic painter renowned for his detailed depictions of military scenes, horses, and the Napoleonic Wars, which he documented firsthand as an official war artist. Born in Nördlingen, he trained under several masters before gaining patronage from the Bavarian royal court, becoming one of the most important battle painters of the 19th century. His works are celebrated for their historical accuracy, dynamic compositions, and meticulous rendering of horses and military equipment.
