Badri Narayan

Badri Narayan (1933, 2013) was an Indian painter celebrated for his lyrical and poetic visual language that drew deeply from Indian mythology, folklore, and classical literature. His work blended figurative imagery with dreamlike, mystical narratives, often featuring feminine forms, birds, and symbolic motifs rendered in earthy, luminous tones. He was a highly regarded figure in post-independence Indian modern art and received the Padma Shri award in recognition of his contributions.
