Lill Tschudi (1911, 2004) was a Swiss-born printmaker celebrated for her vibrant linocuts depicting scenes of modern urban life, sports, and leisure activities. She studied under Claude Flight at the Grosvenor School of Modern Art in London during the 1930s, becoming one of the most accomplished practitioners of the dynamic, rhythmic linocut style associated with that school. Her bold use of color, strong diagonal compositions, and sense of movement made her one of the standout artists of the British modernist printmaking movement of the interwar period.
