Fraenkel Gallery

Since 1979, Fraenkel Gallery has presented nearly 400 exhibitions exploring photography and its relation to other media, believing that photographs are best understood in light of other objects and vice versa. The gallery represents major photographers including Robert Adams, Sophie Calle, Lee Friedlander, and Nan Goldin, while also working with the estates of Diane Arbus and Bernd & Hilla Becher, and has expanded to include multidisciplinary artists across various media. Through over 70 publications and long-established relationships with museums and collectors worldwide, Fraenkel Gallery continues to examine how photography intersects with contemporary and historical artistic practice.
