2025 Artist Plate Project Full Set of 50 Plates

2025

The 2025 Artist Plate Project Full Set brings together fifty unique fine bone china plates, each 26.7 centimeters in diameter, conceived as both functional objects and collectible works of art. Among the contributors are Yoshitomo Nara, KAWS, Takashi Murakami, Danielle McKinney, and Amy Sherald, whose individual designs have already sold out through primary channels, making the complete set an increasingly rare acquisition opportunity. Each plate in the edition of 250 bears the signature of its respective artist, and the range of visual languages across all fifty works transforms the full set into a remarkable survey of contemporary artistic practice rendered in an intimate, tactile medium. Beyond their aesthetic distinction, these plates carry significant humanitarian weight. The Artist Plate Project was founded in 2020 by the Coalition for the Homeless, the oldest advocacy and direct service organization of its kind in the United States, with roots going back to 1981. Through litigation, public education, and on-the-ground services, the Coalition has helped more than one million New Yorkers navigate their way off the streets, operating on the conviction that housing, food, and living wages are fundamental rights rather than privileges. The proceeds from each plate support food programs, crisis intervention, housing assistance, and other critical services for individuals and families experiencing homelessness. For collectors, the full set of fifty represents a convergence of institutional significance, blue-chip artistic pedigree, and genuine social impact. Works by several participating artists have already proven difficult to obtain outside this format, lending the complete set a scarcity that extends well beyond its edition size. Presented without frames, the plates invite display as a cohesive installation or in curated groupings, offering flexibility in how the collection is lived with and experienced over time.
