An 18th-century Edo period helmet featuring a black lacquered bowl in the distinctive wakan-nari crown-shaped form with stenciled doeskin peak and mokko crests. The ensemble includes a fierce-expression face mask with inlaid glass eyes, yak hair moustache, and comes with a plain wood stand.
