Ruthven Todd Album, Poem for Diane Bouchard: three impressions

This rare set of three unique working proofs from Joan Miró's *Ruthven Todd Album* features a poem dedicated to Diane Bouchard, printed in collaboration with Stanley William Hayter at the legendary Atelier 17 in New York. Each impression is individually annotated in pencil by master printer Piero Crommelynck, documenting the experimental stages of color ink and ink testing that defined Miró's printmaking process. With only six to ten impressions ever printed with text, these proofs offer an exceptionally intimate glimpse into the artist's creative and technical development within one of the most influential printmaking studios of the twentieth century.

Medium
Annotated 'essai encrage couleur' (color ink test), 'essai encrage' (ink test), and 'essai encrage' (ink test) and 'épreuve unique P' (unique proof) respectively by Piero Crommelynck in pencil (all unique working proofs, there were only 6-10 impressions printed with text), printed by the artist and Stanley William Hayter at Atelier 17, New York, all unframed.
