A documentation of Oppenheim's body art practice, this work captures a performative act in which a circle was drawn around the artist's body on the ground, merging the boundaries between self and earth. The gelatin silver prints, one annotated with ink, record both the physical gesture and the conceptual framework underlying the piece, characteristic of Oppenheim's investigation into risk, vulnerability, and the relationship between the human body and its environment.
