Yinka Shonibare CBE RA's 'Apollo (after Francavilla)' is a unique fibreglass sculpture hand-painted with Dutch wax Batik, embellished with a bespoke hand-colored globe and gold leaf, mounted on a wooden plinth in 2022. The work reimagines classical mythology through contemporary materials and postcolonial aesthetics.
