wool on canvas
A lumpy, irregular form emerges from the canvas, wrapped or encased in thick wool that distorts and obscures any recognizable shape beneath. Wurm plays with the tension between the domestic softness of the textile material and the absurdity of its application, challenging conventional notions of sculpture and painting. The work embodies his signature humor and interest in transformation, using everyday materials to question the boundaries of artistic medium and object.
