Vladimir Weisberg

Vladimir Grigoryevich Weisberg (1924, 1985) was a Soviet Jewish painter and art theorist known for his subtle, meditative works characterized by muted tones and near-monochromatic palettes. He developed a distinctive style rooted in a deep study of color theory, often depicting still lifes and nudes with quiet, luminous restraint. Working largely outside the official Soviet art establishment, he became an influential figure among Moscow's unofficial art circles.
